Onion Curry !!!

Easy peasy Curry comes handy at a sudden advent of guests .It’s done in a couple of minutes with ingredients always available in the pantry.Also a very versatile which suits dosa,idly,roti,puris,appam.

Ingredients :-

  • Onions 3-4 ( sliced )
  • Green Chilly 5-6 nos slit
  • Red chilly 2 nos
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Bengal dhal powder 11/2 – 2 tbsp

To Season :-

  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Mustard ¼ tsp
  • Urad dhal ¼ tsp

Method :-

  • In a pan heat oil add the mustard ,urad dhal ,as it splutters .
  • Then add onions ,chillies ,curry leaves , salt &turmeric,let it get translucent.
  • Now add the Bengal gram dhal powder mixed in little water and give a good mix.
  • Let it cook till the raw smell leaves .
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with roti ,puri ,dosa,appam.

Note :-

  • For variation tomatoes can be added. Also vegetables like peas ,carrot & beans can be used.
  • Before adding the Bengal gram powder we can add the vegetables and wait for it to get cooked.
