Onion Curry !!!
Easy peasy Curry comes handy at a sudden advent of guests .It’s done in a couple of minutes with ingredients always available in the pantry.Also a very versatile which suits dosa,idly,roti,puris,appam.
Ingredients :-
- Onions 3-4 ( sliced )
- Green Chilly 5-6 nos slit
- Red chilly 2 nos
- Curry leaves a few
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Bengal dhal powder 11/2 – 2 tbsp
To Season :-
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Mustard ¼ tsp
- Urad dhal ¼ tsp
Method :-
- In a pan heat oil add the mustard ,urad dhal ,as it splutters .
- Then add onions ,chillies ,curry leaves , salt &turmeric,let it get translucent.
- Now add the Bengal gram dhal powder mixed in little water and give a good mix.
- Let it cook till the raw smell leaves .
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti ,puri ,dosa,appam.
Note :-
- For variation tomatoes can be added. Also vegetables like peas ,carrot & beans can be used.
- Before adding the Bengal gram powder we can add the vegetables and wait for it to get cooked.
