Prawn Masala

A very tasty creamy masala ,which is always a sure shot.

Kids friendly and also makes one go for a second helping.

Ingredients :

  • Prawns 250 gms
  • Onions 1
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Red chilly Powder 1 tsp (to taste )
  • Coriander Powder ¾ tsp
  • Turmeric Powder ¼ tsp
  • Coconut milk 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 tbsp

Method :

  • In a pan heat oil, add onions and fry well.
  • Add tomatoes and allow it to get mushy.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry .
  • Add the dry ingredients and toss.
  • Add water , salt and allow it to cook till raw smell leaves.
  • Add the prawns and toss.
  • Close and cook for 2 -3 minutes. (do not over cook ,as the prawns may turn rubbery )
  • Now open the lid and fry for few minutes for the oil to surface.
  • Now add coconut milk and switch off the flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice.

Note :

  • Fish can also be made in the same way.
