Prawns is the tastiest of sea foods in my opinion .Prawn is cooked with whole spices ,curry powder and ginger garlic ,which results in a delicious gravy . One can never go wrong with this recipe and it is easy to make too.
Ingredients :
- Prawns 200 gms
- Onions 2 ( sliced )
- Curry leaves a few
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Curry powder ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves to garnish
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Grind to a paste :
- Ginger ½ ‘
- Garlic 2 pearls
- Green chilly 4
- Cloves 2
- Cinnamon 2”
Method :
- Marinate the prawns for minimum of 30 min with the ground paste .
- In a pan heat oil ,throw in onions and curry leaves .Let it get brown .
- Add the marinated prawns with little water and give it a good mix .Close and cook (10 min )
- Make sure prawns don’t get over cooked as it would get rubbery.
- Check if the prawns are cooked ,if so simmer till oil floats on the surface.
- Garnish with coriander leaves .
- Serve hot with rice or pathri (rice roti ) or roti.
