All Time Favourite !!!
Rava Kesari is simple yet tasty dish. This acts as a saviour at the sudden advent of guests. Made with minimalistic ingredients always stocked in the kitchen.This is our households favourite !!
Ingredients :
- Semolina 1 cup ( Rava )
- Sugar 1 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Ghee 1 cup ( approx. )
- Raisins 10 -15 nos
- Cashew 10 – 15 nos
- Cardamom Powder ¼ tsp
Method : –
- In a pan add ghee and fry the raisins and cashew and set aside.
- In the same pan some ghee and fry the semolina ( Rava ) till a nice aroma comes.
- Now add colouring and give a mix.
- Add sugar and toss.
- Add milk and mix gently ,making sure no lumps are formed.
- Close and cook .( 10 – 12 min )
- Open the lid and give a mix on and off now and then.
- Add ghee too when required ,such that it does not stick to the bottom of the vessel.
- When the rava is well cooked , toss in the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Sprinkle the cashew and raisins.
- Serve hot.
