All Time Favourite !!!

Rava Kesari is simple yet tasty dish. This acts as a saviour at the sudden advent of guests. Made with minimalistic ingredients always stocked in the kitchen.This is our households favourite !!

Ingredients :

  • Semolina 1 cup ( Rava )
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Ghee 1 cup ( approx. )
  • Raisins 10 -15 nos
  • Cashew 10 – 15 nos
  • Cardamom Powder ¼ tsp

Method : –

  • In a pan add ghee and fry the raisins and cashew and set aside.
  • In the same pan some ghee and fry the semolina ( Rava ) till a nice aroma comes.
  • Now add colouring and give a mix.
  • Add sugar and toss.
  • Add milk and mix gently ,making sure no lumps are formed.
  • Close and cook .( 10 – 12 min )
  • Open the lid and give a mix on and off now and then.
  • Add ghee too when required ,such that it does not stick to the bottom of the vessel.
  • When the rava is well cooked , toss in the cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Sprinkle the cashew and raisins.
  • Serve hot.
