Fantastic Treat !!
All time favorite and the most easiest side dish for south Indian breakfast or dinner .
Tangy tomato with coconut ,fennel and garlic is simply wholesome and its a perfect treat for taste buds.
Ingredients :
- Tomato Puree 1 cup ( 5-6 tomatoes )
- Onion 1
- Curry leaves a few
- Red chilly 1
- Green chilly 1
- Mustard ¼ tsp
- Urad dhal ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tbsp
Grind to paste :
- Coconut 11/2 tbsp
- Puffed gram ¾ tbsp
- Garlic 2
- Fennel ¼ tsp
Method :
- In a pan heat oil add mustard ,urad dhal let it splutter.
- Now add onions , red & green chilly ,curry leaves and sauté it.
- Add the puree ,with red chilly powder ,salt and turmeric, stir well.
- Give it a boil ,by closing the lid. Let the raw smell subside.
- Time to add the ground paste with some water and boil till raw smell leaves.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with idly ,dosa ,roti.
