A very mild spicy pulao which never fails to captures eveybody’s heart .This is a mouth watering one which is also good on the stomach.A good choice for lunch box kids will love this.
Ingredients :
- Basmathi Rice 1 cup
- Ginger garlic paste 1 – 11/2 tsp
- Onions 1 (chopped )
- Mint leaves a handful
- Green chilly 4 ( to taste )
- Bay leaf 1
- Cinnamon 2 “
- Cardamon 2
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1- 2 tbsp
- Mushrooms 200 gms
- Coriander leaves to garnish
Method :
- In a cooker heat oil add the whole spices , as it splutters add onions ,allow it to brown.
- Add green chilly ,mint leaves and chopped mushrooms and toss.
- Add water ( approx. 2 – 21/2 ) as it boils add rice, salt and stir .
- Close with a lid and cook for 10 – 15 min under pressure .
- Garnish with coriander leaves .
- Serve hot with onion raita.
Note :
- Lime juice can be added too ,if preferred.
- A spoon of ghee can be added with coriander leaves.
