The peel does’nt go for a waste,and is enriched with fibre which is highly nutritious. No one would guess its a peel of a vegetable that is so tasty.
Ingredients
- Red chilly 3
- Onion 1
- Curry leaves a few
- Tomato 1
- Ridge gourd peel 1 cup
- Puffed gram 1 tbsp
- Coconut 2 tbsp
- Tamarind a small piece ( optional )
- Salt to taste
Method :
- Heat oil add red chilly ,onions and fry well.
- Add curry leaves ,tomato and fry till mushy.
- Add the peel , salt and fry well till it is cooked.
- Transfer it to a mixer jar , add puffed gram and coconut .
- Blend it coarsely.
- Tamper it with mustard , urad dhal ,curry leaves and red chilly.
- Serve with rice ,doasa , idly.
