Rajma Potato Gravy is a traditional gravy which suits all occasions.

Rajma Chawal is an iconic dish ,which stays the favourite of many .

Rajma cooked with Potatoes is simply drooling which is easy to make and stays as good choice for lunch box addition too.

Ingredients :

  • Rajma 150 gms(soaked overnight )
  • Potatoes 2(cubed )
  • Tomatoes 2(chopped )
  • Onion 1(chopped )
  • Turmeric 1/4tsp
  • Chilly Powder 1/2-3/4tsp
  • Mustard 1/4 tsp
  • Urad dhal 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Red chilly 2
  • Oil 1tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  • In a pressure cooker cook rajma under pressure with potatoes ,tomatoes ,turmeric powder chilly powder , salt and water .
  • In a kadai heat oil ,throw in mustard ,urad dhal ,curry leaves ,red chilly ,onions and fry well.
  • Add a couple spoons of cooked rajma and potatoes ,smash well .
  • Now add the remaining rajma and cook well till raw smell leaves.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with roti , rice .
