Kids favorite !!

This aromatic baby potato steals the hearts of one and all .In my household it makes a wholesome meal and it works for a lazy day or no mood cooking day where only this and curd rice will suffice the lunch of the day.

Ingredients :

  • Baby potato 150 gms
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Chilly powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Grind to coarse powder :

  • Fennel ½ tsp
  • Cinnamon 1’

Method :

  • Boil , peel and cut into halves the baby potato set aside.
  • In a pan heat oil add onions and curry leaves , let onions change colour.
  • Add tomato and allow it to get mushy.
  • Now time to add the ground spice powder , potatoes, chilly powder turmeric and salt.
  • Keep stirring it on slow flame till oil secretes and the raw smell leaves.
  • Serve hot with Rice / Roti.
  • Makes a wonderful combination with curd rice.

Note :

  • For a variation with potatoes green peas can be used.
  • Cauliflower can also be prepared in the same way.
