The nut enriches the vegetable which results in a very flavorful residue.This dish alone can suffice one meal .
Ingredients :
- Ridge gourd 200 gms ( chopped )
- Curry leaves a few
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Mustard ¼ tsp
- Urad dhal ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tsp
- Dry roast and grind to coarse paste :
- Onions 1 (chopped)
- Peanuts 1 tbsp
- Red chilly 2
- Coconut 1 -2 tbs
Method :
- In a pan heat oil add mustard ,urad dhal ,as it turns brown add onions ,allow it to become transparent.
- Now add the ridge gourd with ground paste ,water and salt.
- Close with a lid and let it cook till soft.
- Open he lid and fry for few minutes.
- Serve hot with rice.
