Pongal Special !!
Who does ‘nt like Pongal !!
A swooning Delicacy in a healthy way !!
Ingredients :
- Banyard millet 1 cup
- Moong dhal 2 tbsp
- Ginger ½ tsp
- Green chilly 1 (optional)
- Cashew 7
- Jeera ¼ tsp
- Pepper ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves a few
- Asafetida ¼ tsp
- Ghee & oil 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method :
- In a cooker heat oil add jeera ,pepper ,as it splutters add green chilly , cashew , ginger and curry leaves.
- Add the washed millet dhal mixture and toss.
- Add asafetida , salt and 3 cups water mix well and cook under pressure for 10 min.
- Generously add ghee ,mix well and serve hot .
- Green coconut chutney or sambar or pongal kuzhambu or tomatoe goggu will be a good combination.
