Tasty and healthy snack !! Kids will love this !!

Loaded with iron rich beetroot , protein ( toor dhal ) species and coconut is simply a beautiful combination.

Ingredients :

  • Beetroot 1 cup ( grated )
  • Coconut 3 tbsp
  • Fennel ½ tsp
  • Red chilly 2 ( to taste )
  • Cinnamon 2”
  • Coriander leaves a handful
  • Toor dhal 3 tbsp ( soaked for 2 hrs )
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

Method :

  • Heat oil in a pan , add grated beetroot and fry well ,till it becomes dry.
  • Grind the dhal, chilly ,curry leaves ,fennel ,cinnamon ,half of the coriander leaves ,salt and coconut coarsely.
  • To this add the beetroot and grind such that the vegetable blends well with dhal mixture
  • Add the remaining chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Make small balls and set aside.
  • Heat oil , flatten the round and fry to golden brown .
  • Serve hot.
