One of the famous concoctions which turns out to be the all time favourite and never fails to hold a place in the restaurant menu cards. Authentic spices are used for the delicious taste. The spices which never fails to take a seat in the pantry are only used ,hence makes it easy to cook .

Ingredients :

  • Mutton 500 gms
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Small onions 10 ( chopped )
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Ghee 1 tsp
  • Oil 11/2 tbsp ( to taste )
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

Fry in oil & grind :

  • Small onions 10- 15
  • Red chilly 3-5 ( to taste )
  • Cinnamon 2″
  • Garlic 6-7
  • Ginger 1″
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Castor oil 1 tsp

Method :

  • In a pressure pan heat oil ,throw in onions and curry leaves ,fry till it is brown.
  • Add the meat & fry till meat changes colour. ( so that the pieces don’t disintegrate )
  • Add salt and turmeric and toss.
  • Time to add the ground paste and give it a quick toss.
  • Add water ( 1 – 2 cups ) and let it cook under pressure.( 10 min approx. )
  • Allow the pressure to get released .
  • Let it cook till raw smell leaves and oil separates.
  • Drizzle ghee to enhance the taste.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice / bread / roti .
