This is a very different tasting gravy . The species are strong and very pungent a unique tasting which is loved by all .Kala Mutton Masala is adapted from my mother’s friend kitchen . But was regularly made at home. When the children were growing up it was most loved dish and was made regularly.
Ingredients :
- Cut Meat 250 gms
- Minced meat 250 gms
- Onions 2 (chopped )
- Tomato 2 (chopped )
- Mint Leaves a handful
- Turmeric 1/4 tsp
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves to garnish
Dry roast & Grind to Paste :
- Pepper 3/4tbsp
- Green Cardamom 3 – 4
- Black Cardamom 1
- Cumin 3/4 tbsp
Method :
- In a cooker heat oil fry the onions till transparent.
- Add tomato and fry till mushy.
- Now add the ground paste and fry .
- Add mint leaves and toss .
- Now add the meat pieces and minced meat and toss.
- Add water ,salt and cook for 10 to 15 minutes (approx. 4 -5 whistles),till soft.
- Open the lid and fry well till oil separates.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Suits rice/chapatthi /dosa.
