Creamy Rich Kurma !!

The after taste lingers for a longer time.

The rich mutton flavor with coconut milk and curds is a highly taste induced gravy. Must Try !!

Ingredients :

  • Mutton 300 gms
  • Coconut milk 1 cup
  • Curds 1 cup
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon 2 “
  • Cloves 3
  • Cardamom 2
  • Onions 1 tbsp
  • Garlic 1 tsp

Grind to paste :

  • Green chilly 6-7
  • Garlic 6
  • Ginger ½ “
  • Fennel ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves a cup
  • Poppy seeds ¾ tsp

Method :

  • In a cooker fry the mutton for a bit.
  • Add salt and turmeric and fry.
  • Add the ground paste and toss.
  • Add the curds ,mix well ,close and cook till meat is soft.( approx. 5 -6 whistles or 10 min)
  • Wait for the pressure to get released.
  • Add coconut milk , stir and give it a boil .
  • In a pan heat oil add cinnamon ,cloves, cardamom ,allow it to splutter.
  • Add onions ,garlic and curry leaves ,let it brown.
  • Add to the kurma and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with parotta /roti / ghee rice /dosa / idly.
